FORKLIFT MECHANIC required for Northern Territory, Australia

Immediate opening for a Forklift Mechanic in Northern Territory, Australia.
Applicants must have experience working as a Forklift Mechanic on models up to 24 tonnes.

The employer is willing to offer sponsorship and other assistance to suitable applicants to help them obtain working visas for Australia with the possibility of permanent residence status in the future.

This is a company specialises in operating and servicing the remote areas throughout Australia backed by some of the biggest brands in the business with excellent long term career prospects for ambitious candidates.

The ideal candidate will have:
•5 years post apprenticeship experience
•Extensive experience with both electric and diesel units
•Can diagnose hydraulic, electrical and mechanical (engine) faults
•Can read hydraulic and electrical schematic diagrams
•Can use scanning or pc based electronic diagnostic tools
•Experience with Toyota forklifts up to 24 tonnes a distinct advantage
•Needs to be able to work without supervision and make decisions

Other important skills include ability to work independently, manage time effectively, clean up when a job is completed, communicate well with customers, and complete paperwork properly.

The position is an hourly position with wages based on the individual’s skills and experience
