HGV Mechanic, Refrigeration Mechanic, Trailer Mechanic, Welder/Fitter
GlobalForce are currently recruiting for Tractor Trailer Mechanics in Saskatchewan and Manitoba in Canada Our client is a large successful Transportation firm and we are currently screening committed candidates in the UK and Ireland for their open roles with a view to employing them on 2 year work permits in Canada Applicants must have a genuine interest in gaining permanent residency in the future in Canada.
Successful applicants will have the following skills: -Formal Training in the field of Heavy Duty Technician or Truck and Transport Technician (Preference will be given to those with a Trade Diploma / Certificate)
Previous Experience Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 4 years verifiable experience Other Skills -Computer experience; particularly Windows based software is mandatory -Experience with Diagnostic tools -Welding experience -Specialisations (gear boxes, engines, alignments, steering, etc.) -Experience removing, rebuilding and installing engine transmissions and differentials -Ability to maintain other equipment i.e. forklifts -Highway Transportation Refrigeration Systems maintenance experience
Potential employees must be customer service, team orientated, have a professional appearance, be willing to relocate to Saskatchewan or Manitoba and be able to work with minimal supervision Job Profile General Duties and Responsibilities: -Perform mechanical inspections of highway tractors -Perform mechanical inspections of highway trailing equipment -Perform repairs on highway tractor chassis -Perform repairs on highway power trains -Perform repairs on highway tractor suspension and steering -Perform repairs on highway trailing equipment body, interior and exterior -Perform repairs on highway trailing equipment frame -Perform repairs on highway equipment trailing equipment suspension -Perform mechanical inspection of highway trailing equipment temperature control units -Proper usage of equipment manuals -Ability to perform maintenance duties in a timely and safe manner -Ability to follow company policies and procedures -Must be able to effectively communicate the results of the mechanical inspection performed

Candidates whose first language is not English must prove they have had extensive education in English at the primary or secondary school level or have been tested at an international English Language Testing System.
